Father's Day and Mommy Charlotte

We had a WONDERFUL time today celebrating father's day. Not only did Kara, Charlotte, and Ryan let me pick out my own father's day present at Archie McPhees' (a real nice bigfoot action figure, large thermometer, and a Royal Postal jacket) but we had a nice time in Ballard and dined on some really good Mexican food.

Oh, and we even had a photo booth at Archie McPhee's take some wacky pictures of the four of us.
Oooh yes, Archie McPhee's, really good times.

Charlotte has also been a very good mommy to her baby doll, mimicking everything that HER mommy does when she takes care of Ryan. In fact, just this morning Charlotte let out a loud "grooooan" as she picked her up her doll from the floor. She really gets every detail. As you can see by the picture, she also takes being a mommy VERY seriously.

Ryan entertains

Charlotte and Ryan had some special visitors these past few weeks.

FIRST, Uncle John spent the weekend in Seatte. Up from Newport Beach, John is shown here playing with Ry-ry, both attired in their favorite casual wear.

You can click here to see the video of John attempting to hypnotize Ryan with his amazing sounds.

Next, Grandpa Mal (a.k.a. "Poppy") came up for a weekend to say hi, and enjoy the craziness that is the Wood Family these days. Here are the two boys, hanging out on Sunday morning...

... and Ryan always enjoys his weekly visits with GREAT GranLloyd and PapaDon!

Ry-ry Jump Up

Ryan was at Montlake Park this past weekend, quietly enjoying a little swinging fun. You would never know it from this picture, but he is really just visualizing his next romp on the

First Braids

When you are 2 1/2 you get "firsts" a lot. Well, last week Charlotte got her first braids from her mom. Oh, she LOVED them, and even slept in them. Yes, she is a girl.

But Where is the Green Sheep?

While Ryan enjoyed kicking it at home in the back yard, Charlotte had a wonerful time watching her first play ever, a very well done performance of one of her favorite books, "Where is the Green Sheep?" You really should check out the show if you can.

After the show she LOVED playing around the Seattle Center fountain, but didn't want to get wet.
